Homemade Italian Breadcrumbs (Pane Grattugiato)

Ingredients
  

  • 4 cups cubed stale Italian bread
  • 1 Tbsp. chopped fresh Italian parsley
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp. dried Italian seasoning,
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 250°F.
  • Cut stale bread into small cubes and arrange in a single layer on a baking sheet.
  • Bake until the bread is completely dry, about 10–20 minutes. Do not let it become deeply browned.
  • Cool completely.
  • Transfer the dried bread to a food processor and pulse until the desired texture is reached.
  • Add parsley, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper and pulse a few more times to combine.
  • Store in an airtight container or freeze for longer storage.
